Michael Peschka, a native of Westlake Hills, Texas, was first exhibited at Laguna Gloria Art Museum (now the Austin Museum of Art) at the age of eleven. A lifelong artist, he studied at the University of Texas at Austin under Dr. Gabrielle Yablonsky, former artist-in-residence to the King of Bhutan. In 1978 he met and befriended Caja
Palffy, Countess of Pressburg and Erdod, the daughter of Dorothy,
Princess Radziwill and Count Paul Palffy. Mr. Peschka worked closely
with Countess Palffy in her Austin, Texas art gallery from 1978 until
1981 at which time his dear friend Caja arranged for him to visit
Brussels, Belgium where he was apprenticed to M. A. Schollaert,
portrait painter to King Leopold ll and King Baudouin, of Belgium.
