In the Beginning, there was art Art4TheHomeless started out as a blog by a student named Johnna Crider. She would blog about different things: her art, photography, poetry and homelessness. The name, Art4TheHomeless, was inspired by Samantha Medd, who was Johnna's friend in Job Corps (and still is Johnna's friend) As Johnna's skills grew, so did Art4TheHomeless. From a blog to an online magazine; from a website to an online directory of homeless help links, to a network of artists who want to take part and the birth of a nonprofit organization that helps not only homeless Americans, but the artists of all venues who participate. Mission The mission of Art4TheHomeless is to unite the arts (visual, literary, music, etc) to promote homeless awareness in America. Art4TH features artists and through their art, promotes homeless help organizations, shelters, web organizations; anyone or anything that pertains to homeless Americans and in the process, promoting the artists whose works we use. Membership is free so join now! Art4TH supports the arts and wants to use the arts to help as many Americans who are homeless and needs help as we can.

Hello!!
Man, do I have a LOT to share with you all, my Dear Friends.

First of all, THANK YOU for still being "Along for the ride" with me. Alan and Dominic, you guys ROCK for taking care of this GREAT site for me. Alan, GOD BLESS you for makin' me look good with this new website. I am BLESSED to have you BOTH as Friends for this long. Okay, Alan you sweetly reminded me today that I hadn't written in way too long. I will make this a quick one....BUT important update.

I want to say these words to EVERYONE: "THANK YOU, GOD!" I understand that a lot of us are possibly feeling a bit of a struggle these days...Perhaps, like me, its financial, or many other things. Hey, GOD WILL PROVIDE.

Okay. So GOOD NEWS.... My LONGTIME Friend, and Co-writer, Vivian Rae, has popped back into my life after 20 years! Wow. Wait 'til you hear the tracks we did 'way back when.' I feel in my Heart, this is Truly the BEST of me. Now, Vivian and I are going to write again! Praise GOD!!! After all these years...So much Growth for both of us. We are going to TEAR IT UP!! I will be sharing some stuff with you guys very soon. Please, let me know what you think.

I am MORE than Excited to 'get' to sing live for my FAVORITE CAUSE: The Animal Trustees of Austin for 'Petcasso 2010.' Please come...February 21st. (THANK YOU Patty Mora and Kevin Farr!!!) Blackjack, my FAMOUS Cat is 18 years old now, and my Bird, Baby Star, is over 2 years. MY FAMILY! :) We are wound up 'cause Patty is coming to make our Picture on Friday. We will make sure and be real 'perty.

READY to sing

Hey, So, I haven't written in awhile. Has Life been a bit crazy for anyone else? Lol...we can only laugh. A LOT. I am Grateful to have many friends' support. Blackjack (my famous cat), got injured a few days ago while chasing a neighborhood cat. My boy thinks he isn't 14 years old! Luckily, thank God, he limped Home and we are healing Him up...

I start singing my Master Vocals on my new record Tuesday...rain or shine. God Bless you Merel and Sarah for being the wonderful "family" you ARE.

So, what I ask of my friends who read this: Please send me good vibes?? Gotta ROCK this record!

MEREL! How can I sing your praises enough?! Thank you for being YOU and teaching me how to be me. I love you, my friend. Most importantly, Thank you for holding my Dream safely in your hands. I Trust you.

A Voice To Sing

Tonight...I have a voice. like a lot of us recently, I have been tempted by this "flu bug" etc. Sucked to be sick on my Birthday this year. We had so much planned (including a HUGE Limo and much more). Damn! Oh well, all things happen for a reason. I know this. The Angels tell me. I was Bummmmmed big time about not getting to go to Kobe Steaks and get drunk on Sake with my friends. However, Merel and Sarah HEALED me. I can only say THANK YOU. Thanks, Merel, for Telling me what to do! I listen when you speak, my friend. Sarah, You are what I would hope to be...someday...a Magical Artist and Healer. I can't wait to know you better and better.
Marley and Lynn, God Bless and BLESS you both for being where you needed to be. I have such respect for you.
